hey guys, if I build an enclosure for my Tegu that's 8X4X4 can I put furniture on the enclosure? And if people did that don't you ever worry about the top collapsing? By furniture I mean tv's, etc.

Halloooo,

I guess the only thing I would look at when building over a cage is the access to get in and clean it.
I know from experience, that if something is difficult to clean, most people are going to avoid cleaning it as much as possible.. and you definately don't want to let the cleaning slide, especially as your tegu puts on more and more size.
Plus if you have to move things to get your tegu, you may not handle it as much as needed.
Just my thoughts anyways.

And if it's a TV or stereo, I would be concerned about low frequency vibrations, sound, etc.

Actually... I do the opposite.... I live in an apartment in Brooklyn... I am putting in a lot of shelving for my animals in general... the tegu is the largest thing that I have....I've decided to put her tank ON the entertainment center in the living room... I'll try to make it as aesthetic as possible... but no place else makes as much sense... and I like to WATCH my animals... the only drawback is getting her in and out of the tank...
