I took the Doctor for a short drive over to my parents house, since he loves to eat their honeydew melon. After he had his snack, he climbed all over the counter and finally wound up behind the toaster,w here he knocked over a tile and made a hidey-hole and hung out for a little bit. Then, he came out and my dad was holding him. He loves being held and crawling all over people, but he gets kinda jumpy when there is a lot of noise and movement around him. He started squirming so, my dad handed him back to me and the next thing I know, he's half in my shirt! Honestly, he moved so fast I didn't even see him, then completely vanished into my shirt! I had to untuck my shirt to get him out because he refused to get out, and when he did, he grabbed onto my belt and then into my dads combat boots, which then became his new best friend. He chewed on them for a little bit before getting bored and climbing back into his box and we went home! He's a nut! Thank god for camera phones!
ohhhh ! I think he's precious looks like he is being a typical tegu teenager ..lol thank you, it's good to see an active tegu right around now. mine are starting to get sleepy.
careful though. they can get themselves in a heck of alot of places.
I always keep an eye on him, but he never seems to wander too far away from us. It's like when there is a person there, he's on a virtual leash! Plus, he's only active when people are around, when he's alone he spends all his time resting and basking.
