i just tried to pick up my columbian b&w and usually he is calm but today he ran all over the cage jumping around not wanting to be picked up. is this normal because today he wasent feed so can that have to with it.

Colombians are generally more prone to this behavior, but Argentines can still have an off day too so it may not be species specfic. I would just let your tegu have it's way for today and approach him tomorrow with his meal and see what happens from there.

sounds a bit like mine, when he gets like that i give him some food then say ur loss if ya dont wanna come out then walk off, next thing u know he smacks the front of vivarium with his tail as if to say oi let me out!

Yeah mine tends to have a small paddy every now and again, in which he tends to re-decorate his enclosure, by use of thrashing it all over the pace.

Like Bashful said, leave them to it. I always like to blame these things on a bad soccer result or something like that. Who knows what goes on in a Tegu's head.
