i think if i had any amphibians it would be either a red eyed tree frog, whites tree frog , waxy monkey tree frogs or darts i really like the level of tameness with the white you can feed them buy hand.. but the dart frogs come in some awesome colors

yah the whites tree frogs are quite tame i've heard. my next favorite frogs are the mantella, because they aren't territorial and you can keep 3-4 in a 10 gallon tank with males and females.
My daughter in law, Ricks wife, has a White's Tree frog names Peaped. There are some pictures in the gallery I think. It's a calm and mellow frog and likes to be held. He doesn't make much noise and isn't really active, but he seems content enough in his enclosure with all the stuff he has in there to climb and hide behind.
We used to have a bunch of them. I liked the Patricias the best. They were so pretty, of course. But they were also very funny to watch. They were little daredevils who ate a lot! I've never seen quite the feeding response from any of my animals like I saw from those!
But the others- the thumbnail frogs (I don't remember specifically what they were) made the pretty chirping sounds. I miss that a lot!
They were one of my husband's hobbies up until we moved last summer. He had to sell them to another hobbyist because he was afraid the stress from moving across the country would just be too much for them and they tend to be such sensitive creatures when it comes to stuff like that. Anyway, I miss them a lot, so hopefully we'll get some more as soon as we're permanently settled. There's nothing like hearing that pretty chirping first thing in the morning! And it's so soothing to just watch them...
I'll have to post some pictures whenever I get a chance to start a photo album on here.
Jenn.
