Yeah his tail must have fallin off thats a regenerated tail still a nice tegu =) nice stand for the cage

i got him for $20 at a reptile show. at that price i really didn't care whether or not he had a stubby.
and the tank was a luky find. i got the tank, stand, and 2 overhead light fixtures for......$50!!!!!!

Maybe a few inches of substrate throughout the whole tank so he can dig wherever he wants?

i thought about doing that originally. but some people have theirs set up so they can't burrow at all. and their tegus seem perfectly happy. also i'd like to know exactly where he is when he's burrowed so i can clean the rest of the tank without disturbing him.
but i might add a little bit more
