My tegu ive had for the last year and half which I was told by the pet store was a male I now think is female..She does not have the big jowls and I always wondered why hers were smaller then most other tegu's..I also felt under her tail and I dont feel any beads at all..From the pics what do you guys think? I named her King, I guess we should start calling her Queen LOL

LOL Isnt that harness adorable?? I actually bought it on ebay really cheap about a year ago for my puppy..She grew out of it so I thought King "Queen" could use it from now on..
She really does not like it though icon_sad.gif
Anyone have any good ideas for training them to walk on the leash? I mean, She will just stand there when I have it on her LOL She wont really walk.

you can't

the best option is to make sure the leash never makes them feel constricted, they can flip out cause of that.

if i were to leash my girl i'd use a simple loop around her hips in front of her back legs.

a leash is really only a precaution incase they bolt. you'll never truely "walk" your tegu.

The name Angel is already taking by Angelrose.I don't know if she would like it if some one else would use that name, too. If that name wouldn't be taken alreaddy I wanted to name our new baby Tegu Angel because she will have that nice baby blue white color like a Angel.I like that harness, too.
About the harness. Both of our Tegus started to walk around with it on when I took them outside in the grass.Don't worry she will get used to it.Yea,by that age you would be able to feel the beeds.Yep,it's a girl icon_lol.gif .

Altough the name Angel is cute and also matches my harness, I wouldnt use it..I know someone that had a dog named Angel and it recently passed away so she may feel bad over it..I think her name is Brooklyn now LOL my hubby has been calling her Brooklyn..He wanted to name our puppy Brooklyn but, I ended up naming her Paris so I guess he can call the Tegu Brooklyn now that we know she is female.
My hubby was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and now resides in NJ with me and our fur/repbabies so, I gues he misses Brooklyn so much he wants to name one of our pets Brooklyn LOL
