They are something like $1,300. I'm going to take this all the way back to Snows Aren't Proven. Why are all morphs for sale Besides axanthics? From the info I've gathered Axanthics have yet to be proven out as well. Many suspect these are simply faded albinos. _________________ John Light

They are most certainly NOT cheap. And let me start by saying that these are different from the T- "snow" tegus of which there were only two males sold. My former roommate bought one of those. It was snow white. Mine has yellow. However, having owned three regular albinos, I can tell you that this is NOT just some "faded albino". It is far better looking than any other albino blue I've seen. What is in question is if it proves out to be a simple recessive trait. But it's most certainly far better looking than any regular T+ albino I've seen. I've been working with herps for 15+ years. So, I'm not just some simpleton that bought blindly. This may well turn out to be a line bred trait much like the hypo, tangerine, and carrot tail traits in leopard geckos. But that doesn't make them less valuable. It just means they aren't simple recessive. I'll let you know when I hatch out babies. Honestly, if you can't tell the difference from the pics there's something wrong with you. I'm pretty sure most any albino blue owner would tell you they wished their tegu was this white.
