yeah, I thought I'd jump into the world of larger lizards it'll be a little bit odd though seeing as most common lizards are small or really big so its like riding a pony til you were 7 and than from there jumping onto a horse.
the largest cold blooded animal I own is 2ft maybe a little bit bigger which is my red tailed boa.

yeah - having kept smaller lizards as well - theres a BIG difference in personality and interactivity between little ones and big ones. Esspecially with tegus, which are IMO the most inteligent lizards out there (my iguana wasn't housebroken - my tegu is). _________________ Elliot
now if only we could have them be intelligent enough to get us a beer eh? everything I hear about Tegus Monitors and Iguannas are diffrent than what I see in forums. (ie. people make them sound like there these evil pissy things" but in alot of the pictures they look "kitten tame"

I have seen (and had) mean iguanas and have seen many mean monitors. I have only had one mellow iguana and that was a recent rescue that my parents adopted.
I have seen very few mean argentine tegus. Though it can happen, most are easy to tame to at least some level with enough work. The more work, the more tame.
Note: I use 'tame' as meaning calm, handleable, even to the point of seeking attention. I do not use 'tame' as a term to indicate domestication.

You may find something at the NH expo, but I doubt it. Most small tegus there are going to be stunted hold-overs from last year. If you find a small B&W Tegu and it is not bright green then it's last years hold-over.
If you don't find one at the expo I will have some in mid/late July as soon as the eggs start to hatch. I am unsure of the pricing I am going to set yet, but it will be a bit cheaper for active thetegu.com members then it will be for the general public.
I'll wait until they hatch as I'd much rather support members from this site, and know that I'm getting a healthy one than to go and buy from someone only doing it to earn a quick buck.

These are not babys from tegus I have bred, these are a supply of hatchling tegus I am buying from Bert at Agama International. One of, if not the, largest tegu breeder in the US. I am buying some for my own future breeding purposes as well as to supply locally since most of the shops in Maine only seem to carry Colombian tegus. If all works well I will have some of my own babys next season. If I can find an adult male blue tegu I may have blue tegus next season too.
If you are still interested just drop me an email at "email @ thetegu . com"
Hotmail is a tad bit messed up so I can't email you until the server is back up and running or something of the sort, and yeah I am still interested can I pay you in cash when I get it? since I don't have a bank account or a cc.
