You can use any type of nontoxic water proof latex paint, but make sure it is totaly dry. A week to cure and totaly dry, would be best. If you use the water proof, then there is no need for a sealer, but you can seal the cracks with clear aquarium silicone.

If you want to use the polyurethane, just keep in mind that it needs to be totaly dry, but I don't use it at all. The nontoxic water proof latex Has worked just fine for me. But you can seal the cracks with clear aquarium silicone.

i got a colombian black and white tegu.it does not like 2 eat mice either it is roughly 5 months old it wont eat anything but super worms and crickets i asked the lady in the pet shop wut they fed it and she sead crickets.so i decided to hand feed it a pinky.when i did i dipped in egg and i noticed that it liked the egg it would lick the pinkyand tried 2 eat but had a hard time.so i helped it down its throat and it did not throw it up so im guessin it was not 2 much for it.and it really liked the egg so i left the bowl in its cage.
