They can probably be housed together, but there are always some concerns. Are the male & female, male and male, or female and female? What exactly is the size difference? How is thetemperment of the one you have? and the one your getting?
When introducing two new tegus you need to be very careful, they will require constant supervision for days. They should be feed seperately and outside of the enclosure too.
When you go to introduce you can read up on this subject more using the forum 'search' feature. You can also see what can happen if you leave them alone for even a minute or two.

I would not cage 2 Tegus together, will that substainal size difference! No matter what the sex is. A male and a Female. Or 2 Females. One foot is quite a difference. The smaller of the 2 Tegus, mental and pyhsical health may suffer! If the larger one is a female, this still does not not matter.
