hi....i just got a blk&wht columbian tegu.....and was woundering if u guys'/girls can help me establish a good weekly feeding for my tegu this i my first large lizard...as of right now i feed my tegu....crickets and meal worms and every other day i give him a few pieces of fruit and veggies along with crickets and meal worms....and i feed him pinkies and ground turkey meat (raw) every fifth day......so can u more established keepers help me establish a better feeding regiment ......thanx

my experience is with Reds and Blues but it sounds like you got things under control. You might want to add the occational egg. Roaches and silkies also make good feeder insects. When they get larger those crix and mealies wont cut it. _________________ Bennett

you can buy them by the egg and hatch them yourself (really easy to do, I've done it a few times!) or buy them already big. Actually pretty neat to mess with lol. Anyways....good luck with your new guy! As babies I personally would feed everyday...that's me. _________________ John Light
