I have been keeping my active heat UVB lights on 12 - 14 hours a day. This is my primary basking heat source as well as the only UVB source.
Is a 12-14 hour photoperiod too much?
Is 12-14 hours of UVB exposure too much? Does anyone really know?
Thanks
Throughout much of their natural distribution, 12-14 hrs is the length of their natural photoperiod, so you should be fine. They actually usually only utilize 8 hrs of this typically, but you do want them to have their native conditions.
