Russ: If you give me the URLs to them I will check them out. The public album can be uploaded to by anyone so I don't always know whats there.

Deadpool: Yep, there is a yellow tegu (Tupinambis duseni) and I'd love to have some, but they are not legally exported or imported because of CITES. The law here in Maine allows me to own ANY Tupinambis species, so if I could get some legally exported/imported I could have them.

alexisonfire: For info on Gold vs Yellow Tegus see the details in the 'Helpful Info' section, located in the Main Menu.

Russ: All fixed. Thank you.

Dealpool: The yellow tegu (T.duseni) is not in the pet trade so it's hard to say exactly what it's captive behavior would be like. In the wild it's found in many locations where the T.merianae & T.rufescens are found. For a long time scientists even thought the T.duseni (Yellow tegu) and the T.rufescens (Red Tegu) were the same species, just a few regional differences. Based on this, I'd assume the T.duseni (Yellow tegu) would be very similar in behavior to the both the Argentine black & white & the red tegu.

For some info on the yellow tegu do a google search for "T.duseni"

-> http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=%22t.duseni%22

Rick, i found this pic today and MAN, i love the colors on this thing.

I also saw that it doesn't just come from argentina, but it is mainly Brazilian. Any chance that Brazil is better with allowing exports?

Brazil is almost similar to Australia for allowing exports of its wildlife. Under normal conditions, it is simply illegal. However, under certain conditions, they will allow export with proper permits.
If you're seriously interested, I can sell you some Tupinambis duseni, but my price is $1000 each, minimum of 5 ordered, payment in advance.
