Mine is a piece of cork bark, and they have had it for sale in all of the reptile specialist shops I have visited What they will often have is one or two massive pieces, and then they will cut off however much you need. Some places do sell "pre-packed" bits too, which are usually quite cheap.
One advantage (other than low price) of this wood is the fact thats its very very light, so if you have a medium-large size tegu, you can just put pieces of the wood onto the top of the substrate and your tegu will be able to dig under them without fear of being squashed. I would anchor them against something if you have a very small tegu and a very big piece of wood though (although even then Im pretty sure they would be safe - its literally the same kind of stuff as the corks you get in bottles).
