i have a short-tailed opossum and it doesn't smell at all. mine doesn't get nearly as big as his kind though

I used to have a female opposum many years ago, rescued her from her dead mom (run over). Have to feed it formula from a bottle for a while.

She was very gentle, didn't smell at all. Could not litter train her, when it was time to go, it was right then and there...

Males can get aggressive, but I knew other people who had females and they all had good things to say...

As far as interaction with humans, kind of like a rabbit. Not particularly affectionate. Still a cool pet...

Wel the sleeping part is cute...the peeing...eew
And about rabbits...they can be VERY affectional and can interact great with humans. I've seen them play aport (is this word known in english? icon_redface.gif ..play fetch I think it is...) with a ball and follow their human everywhere trough the house. Some even come when called! AND rabbits can be potty trained !
