I plan on breeding my veiled chameleons today, what are the signs that they want to or dont want to breed? And once I put them together what can I expect will happen? Will they bite each other if they dont want to breed or is biting expected for the breeding process? Do you seperate them once they finish? How long should it take for them to breed? Thanks!!

Katie

Ive Been breeding veileds a few years now. First you could try this it works for me Put the female outside the males cage so he sees her and if she gets blue spots on her sides and green she is passive and then place in the males cage if she darkens and yellow circles she is not in the mood also they open their mouths dont place with the male. Males can show aggressive behavoirs when the female are in the cage for breeding pushing , nodding biting her back legs Etc. keep a eye on them and seperate them after a day. chameleon breeding Is all about reading signals of colors and behavoir. good luck
