Well... No significant improvements yet.. He is still eating and seems to have energy. He is pooping daily and seems to be able to get around quite well..

Maybe this will change, and maybe it won't.. But if something does change, i will run here as fast as i can to shout about it! :O)

Another exciting update.

Well.. In my continuing saga to get Spicoli walking again, i am still force feeding him with liquid calcium, and keeping his fattened up with a wide assortment of goodies.

He is not bending his elbows.. I discovered this after watching him for a long time the other night. I am thinking that this locked elbow thing might be where the problem is when it comes to him not walking.

He seems to be adapting though. All the way around his cage, there is a ledge. It is about 6 inches from the surface of the mulch and somehow, without using his front legs, he is able to climb up there with no problem. Kind of a symphony of pushing off with his rear legs and pulling up with his chin and neck...

I measured him yesterday and he is now a full 13 inches and tomorrow he will be 8 weeks old.

He's obviously eating well, and getting by, so maybe you'll just end up with a Tegu with huge personality. Nature always find a way

It's good to hear he is adapting - Have you considered taking him to a different vet for a 2nd opinion ?

The herp vet i went to is okay.. it was either a deficiency, or a spinal issue. If it is spinal, then there is nothing we can do.. So time will tell if he is going to get better..

On a good note though, he is starting to shed again. This makes for the 3rd shed in just under 5 weeks. Craziness!
