I finally found a good crawdad hookup. he has frozen and live. his e-mail is kyle@crawdads.net. he can only ship 10pound or more at a time, which is like 600 crawdads. they are between an 1 inch and 1.5 inches long. 3.50 or so per pound and 50 for shipping. they nutritional value of a crawdad is awesome. like 1% total fat content. I think these will make a great variety for my tegu's

Pardon my ignorance, but what in God's name is a crawdad when it's at home.

it is a small fresh water crustation. you can find them in mud banks and shallow water. other names are crawfish and crayfish. its all the same thing. they will make great feeders, as tegu's eat crusations in the wild

Do you know anyone that has tried them before? It sounds like a good idea but i've never heard of them being used, plus frozen crawdads are easier for me to keep, so i'd be all for trying it, but in those quantities i'd like to see how they work.
