I wasn't looking for it when I came across it, but it said something about (don't quote me here) that the dry dog foods were generally low in required proteins and vitamins and there was something that it was lacking that was required by the tegu. That the lack of this could cause the tegu to go permanently blind. Until I find that source and can confirm if it is indeed fact, this should be treated as someones opinion.
