ive heard about this ground turky mix to get the fruit and veg in your tegus diet but do you have to cook the turky and at what point does the veg go in.

hi.i have a baby arg. bw. tegu.i feed him every three days with raw extra lean turkey (room temp.).i usually put a very few blueberries or strawberries in there.they also like grapes but please be very careful not to give them to much fruit.they get the runs icon_sad.gif icon_lol.gif .i found that out when i gave my tegu just grapes and didn't mix it with the turkey.it is better to mix them to gether.

You're better to feed them whole prey, mice or rats (with fruit & veggies). They have all of the nutrients they need. Turkey is mostly protein. I hope you're supplementing with calcium and vitamins.

yes,i feed him mostly crickets with calcium and vitamine powder.and worms.i wanted to give him a pinky but the rep.store that i bought the tegu from sad that i should wait a little longer to give him a pinky since he is still so small.he is about 2 or 2 1/2 months old.i give him fruits just ones a week and than just a little bit of it.i don't want him to have the runs again icon_lol.gif .how long (how old) did you all wait with your baby tegu to give him a pinky ? thanks for your reply.

my tegu is like 3 3 1/2 months old and he can take down fuzzy with ease but i think he was stressed out b4 i got him cause he was the size of a hatchling im just wondering if stress or not enough room can stop growth in babys?
