sorry bubba i have known you for a long time and hate to see you put down like that. You have helped so many people along the years and it makes me ill to see how others are in this hobby. You are a very great person and you show your love for this hobby.
I asked Jeff / bubbasherps and he is the ONLY ONE who even responded to the big question. "how to breed the teguixin ?"
I have even so much as emailed other breeders and received NO REPLY !
I have a very much loved female colombian Angelrose. I love the colombians. (all tegus/animals). I am also looking for that handsome male for my girl.
so let's not waste time. if anyone has information they would like to share it would be very much appreciated and helpful.

This is all just an act of pessamism... Obviously an experienced person here is trying to share his theory and you're judging his knowledge. It is extremely sad to be honest. ( By the way, forums are for the sharing of knowledge and those who need help so please don't question them...)

Don't worry Jeff. The members of this forum that know you know how much you know about reptiles and that you are always here to help. Also don't worry about your spelling . There are times that I don't know how to spell a word. The reason why I get it right is because I use the spell check .Hope all is well.Take care.
I have been reading as well as asking around on how to breed the teguixin. the only replies I ever received so far is " I don't breed colombians " and, or " it is more cost effective to just import them ".
I, thank you Jeff / bubbasherps for all the information and time you put into it.
I think colombian tegus have alot of worth as like the others.
I am with ReptiSnob on this one all the way. ReptiSnob has been on thetegu for longer than just about anyone else who is currently a member here. He's simply trying to keep Bubbas so called "Knowledge" from being believed as a fact. Bubba has made no prior attempts to breed this species of tegu, and is now trying to tell other people who don't know any better how to do it? This would not of come up if he had said in the first place that all of the information that he is trying to give out to thetegu community has neither been tested nor proven. Bubba might have helped a lot of people out with their herp problems but I bet he had experience then, and knew what he was talking about; Whereas in this case it is exactly the opposite. He has never attempted to breed this species, before, has no field experience dealing with them in their natural environment, and he does not have a very good "theory" to support his knowledge. Theories are not facts, and can be drastically changed numerous times. If he had tested this theory of his, and or had any field experience himself with the breeding habits of the Columbian tegu. Before I acknowledge his suggestions, which by all means is all he is giving out. I would like to see him carry out his experiment because he does not have a theory, he has a hypothesis, merely an educated guess. Finish your experiment bubba, and maybe you'll have to do more than one experiment before you reach your goal of producing CB Columbian tegus but until then maybe you should stick to what you know through experience.

I gave facts and and theory about cycling of col. tegus . like ARG. tegus need 7 months of hibernation to reproduce. Col. tegus live where seasonal rains and Temps. in the 70s and dry seasons fact by duplicating these conditions I think is the key of breeding this species like it not I shared my ideas and some knowlege of the species that is known takes one person that could breed this species for the first time and using some ideas instead of bashing my research . no i was not in the fleid studing them prove me wrong.
PS where you banned too
thank jeff
Thank you Angelrose , txrepgirl , Ben and curtis glad to hear the info help you''again thanks _________________ TEGUS TEGUS AND MORE TEGUS
Then breed some CB Columbian tegus bubba, and I will be amazed. I will even apologize to you. I have never been banned from here, and there is no reason for me to be banned unless you think me posting my opinion is worth banning? Your theories weren't necessarily bad just think about what you say before you say it. If you pull it off I'll even buy one from you; how's that? But until then I don't particularly like Columbian tegus, maybe CB will mellow them out.
