The skin is smooth and appears shiny and wet. Do you hold him after he has eating? Also hand feeding snakes is never a good idea. Thanks The top one is an Argentine Boa Constrictor. Same species as a Red-Tail (like the Peruvian in the bottom pic), just a regional subspecies. They are now, they were extremely underfed when I got them (the Peruvian had ribs and backbone showing).
