Yes,and it didn't work because sometimes they just lay around and they eat less and there are times that after they ate and they roam around a lot they get hungry again.

I fill mine up, too, txrepgirl.

My little one runs around all day, too. I noticed him/her the other day and saw a real pinched in tail, but she's at a good weight. I think it's just a growth thing.

Sorry about the distracting shirt pic! It's the only shot from above that I had to try to show that pinched in tail. The little one has a much more pronounced pinch.

I think he looks great! He has a nice fat tail, chubby legs, and a plump belly. I think it's just tegu anatomy.

By the way, nice enclosure. It's outdoor, right? Do you have any behavior problems with that? I hear of so many tegs kept outside that get a little wild streak.

Let me tell you this, if I had it to do again I'd have waited until he was much older and "tamer" before putting him outside. He's not so much wild ans he is uninterested in human interaction while he's outside. I tend to bring him in on the weekends and he hangs out under the couch or in the linen closet, but to get him out of his enclosure I have to take my time, put him in a pillow case and then release him indoors. Alas, it seems cruel to change things now, so I don't intend on putting him back in an indoor cage.

BTW - thanks for the comments.
