This is a pic of two young healthy Argentine black and white tegus, note the weight, diameter of the tails and general appearance.

Here is a top view

i think im gunna try feeding him some mice again...the last time i gave him one...it was a small fuzzy...i put it in the cage and an hour later when i came back...the head of the mouse was kinda bloody around its eyes...so i think he tried to eat it, but it didnt fit...would cutting a fuzzy into 4 pieces work? or should i buy some pinkies and try those first???...*i dont really wanna cut into something*

MIGHT BE: Not enough heat being retained in the Tegus tank/enclosure,
possible heat issue. Do you have a good basking spot of about 88-90 degrees, have a thermometer to keep an eye on temps in the enclosure /tank? Is his tank near a window? Could be a draft hitting his tank?
Could be he does not have a water bowl that he can acsess when he needs water? Have you seen him drink or soaking in water? If he is not warm enough he will not eat or drink like he should.
He might have an impacted bowel or intestine? How long have you had him? Have you contacted the people you bought him from and shared theses issues with them? Like others have mentioned he needs an exotic reptile vet to see him!!
Wish I could help you out more!!

the basking heat is around 90....and yes there is a thermometer keepin track, he does have a very nice large water bowl...which he doesnt soak in unless i put him in it...well at least i dont think he does...

GOOD NEWS! today i came down to see what he was doing...and i actually saw him eating...i tried to stay outta sight otherwise he gets very cautious... then i saw him basking...it was great!...i opened the cage to put some more food in...and he tried to attack my hand...so at least he's more active now...but now i got problems with almost being bitten...

and i think ur right about the bowel or intestine..i havent seen any poo in the cage...so that might actually be the problem...but hopefully that will be fixed soon...

thanks

I am very very glad to hear he is active and eating!!
As for the food response it is a good trade off compared to not eating and being listless. Try pulling a few legs off Cricks and putting them in a large feed bowl at some point so you can count how many he actually is eating and as to help him identify the bowl not your hand as the food source. Keep an eye on any free roaming Cricks your Tegu does NOT eat they can cause great harm to a small, young Tegu, best to pull legs off and put them in the feed bowl!!
Warm water soakings in a half an inch of water ONLY!!, this will help!!
If you do soak him SUPERVISE the whole event and watch him the entire time as to not let him become hysterical and possibly have a bad time of it, 5 to 10 minutes MAX time in water, use good judgement!!

Did you try the pinkies? Also it might be best if you take out his bowl, put the food in the the bowl and return it to his bowl to the tank. this way he won't try to bite you in a feeding response.
