What is the Smallest cage size for a argintine b&w tegu and a sav monitor (they'll be living together) I would perfer this not not take up too much floor space, but would be happy if I could have it a bit taller to make up for lack of floor space? I do already have a plan on how I want it to look, just not sizes, I will try and post a picture to put up on here after I work everything out on microsoft paint.

I'm not entirely sure about savs, but argentines don't really seem to care at all about height, at least not when they are fully grown. They are just too heavy to climb icon_biggrin.gif . all my tegus including my 4 ft blue live in 18 in. tall enclosures.

I think savs are also mostly terrestrial.

I'd really suggest at least like 6X4 for two of them. Thats a bare minimum for the two grown animals. If they don't get along swimmingly...well then you're going to need A LOT more space. icon_biggrin.gif

I knew a guy who housed a savannah monitor and a B&W together... its possible. They get similar size and have similar personalities so they can stand eachother i would think... but those 2 will need a whole room when their full grown... those are 2 very big lizards

Housing two separate species is A very bad idea. Many years back I put a baby box turtle in with a hatchling savannah monitor. The savannah was ok with it at first, but soon after started trying to kill the box turtle, dragging him around by one leg, and they were the same size. Your tegu has no shell, why take the chance?
I would not mix two different species, its just not worth taking the chance.

Here is my inside enclosure...

Starting Paint
Nearly Done
Sky testing it

In these pictures I still need to finish it. It's done now but I didn't have the top window in or such when I took these.

hey rick, im buildin a similar cage to the one in your pictures. it fits into a corner, but its just 2 levels instead of 4 *i think thats how many yours was*
the dimensions are:
front~5'8 wide
sides~4' long
and 3' tall

in a year or so im makin a bigger one, but is that big enough for 1 baby and 1 almost juvie argentina B&Ws?

don't worry bro I took woodshop and just learned that a jig saw is not a puzzle but is actually a tool. Actually I am just kidding but wood shop didn't teach me much about anything......
