I don't recall the exact price of that enclosure I built. I think it was under $300 including the custom cut, quarter inch sliding glass doors.

I have no experiance with building stuff. That was my first enclosure (or big project for that matter). I just had a saw, a drill, a hammer, etc.. I had no plan. I just started cutting and looking at the wood and cutting and looking.. Thats what it turned into. icon_smile.gif

I wouldn't house totally different reptiles together, but these tegus are from the same geographic location and eat the same diets within the same climates. They are biologically almost exactly the same, so I have had no issues, in my experiences, housing red, blues & black and whites together. Introductions can be tricky and need to be done with caution, but thats the same for two tegus of the same species.

Are housing the different tegu species 100% safe? I am unsure and don't want to lead you into believing that because I do it that it is ok. I have always done it with no health issues so I will probably always do it unless I find a good reason not to.

At least 8x4 floorspace, and 2-4' high. If you can go bigger, all the better icon_smile.gif Do keep an eye on them though to watch out for any problems; these are unpredicatable creatures!
