It is exactly 4 weeks today since I received my hatchling from Rick. He was around 9 inches in length total than. Todays measurement is - Snout to vent @ 6 inches, snout to tail is now 17 inches, he's grown 8 inches in a month icon_eek.gif - I am feeding outside the enclosure, however somedays when I cant be around the house all day I will leave him a bowl of food in his enclosure.

He is brought out of the enclosure on a daily basis for some free-roam and bonding time - He is sometimes squemish when in my hands and by that I mean he simply don't like to stay still - He likes to do the hand treadmill thing. All in all he is happy, very healthy, eats ALOT, growing rapidly, and has no problem with human contact whatsoever.

I am very happy and pleased with this Tegu - Thanks again Rick - On to some pics icon_wink.gif

The day I got him

Some pics I took today

For comparison - My Colombian was 14 inches when I got him, now at 24 inches, has only grown 10 inches in 5 months - The Argentine growing 8 inches in 1 month and only 5 inches shorter than my Colombian - I agree this will be a Large Argentine, and I will always fulfill it's needs whatever they may be to let this Tegu grow to it's full potential - Gotta love a forum like this to share experience's and knowlege, and best of all the pics as our Tegu's grow over the years - Funny to look back sometimes at some pics and say "wow - sure has grown alot" - Long may our Tegu's live and Long live theTegu.com icon_wink.gif
