Alright, everyone I really need your help on this.

Around my house there is this homeless person, who owns what I belive to be a BCI (the coloration is almost as dull as a hogg island, but pattern is that of a bci) its supposed to be 4 years old, and only about 4' long if that. Its kept in a duffel bag, and has a sock for a hide. no heat, no water (unless its getting water from the nearby marsh.) and no food. She will not give this snake up, unless she gets 100.00 for it, which is more than I have. Anyone in the area maybe able to help? I'd buy it, if I had the 100.00 extra dollars to spend but unfortunately I am broke, any of you into snakes, and want a BCI?

I know it seems harsh but have you thought about calling the aspca? Or even the police? If nothing is done the snake may die. It may even have a raspatory infection rite now due to no heating. It just isn't fair to the poor animal. Shannon

I'd call the local animal protection department. Buying the snake would only encourage this person to get another one and do the same thing.

Report her and save the animal.

are you joking about the SPCA, the only thing that they care about is mammals, and not the small ones either, just cats and dogs.

I have seen the SPCA on Animal Planet and they do step in and deal with reptiles when required. If not, try calling your town office or city hall and ask who is in charge of 'reptile welfare issues'.

Ok I am sorry! I Misunderstood I thought you may have known this person a little. I hope that something can be done. I have seen snakes that look healthy that die and are filled with puss in their lungs. Had a friend that worked in a reptile store long time ago. Sad stuff! Good Luck!!!!

good news, I can rescue Bunny for $30.00, I admit it does suck for the snake to be in this situation, but its a plus that they are asking so little for it.

Thats so good. I am so glad that you pushed for this and are getting the snake. I hope that I didn't offend you either on the other post. It was not what I was trying to do. I assumed things and I am sorry. But I am happy for you and Bunny. Please post some pictures!!
