what did everyone use to install the channels for their sliding glass doors? glue, screws?? I'm using polyurethane glue and it doesn't seem all that strong, trying to think of ways to reinforce it.
any suggestion would be greatly appreciated

Depends on what you're attaching to what. For any tracks to wood, the best is to use flat head screws, drilling and counter sinking the track first. Silicone works great with aluminium tracks, lousy for plastic.

HOME DEPOT CARRIES WHITE PLASTIC RUNNERS FOR ? CABINET SLIDERS,ETC. I USED ONE OF THESE COUNTERSUNK IN A GROOVE IN WOOD WITH WOOD GLUE. I PUT A FEW BRAD NAILS OPPOSITE TRACK WHERE THE DOOR NEVER WOULD HIT (I.E. NAILS ON FAR LEFT FOR RIGHT GLASS DOOR AND FAR RIGHT FOR LEFT GLASS DOOR. THEY NEVER GET OPENED ALL THE WAY TO HIT ON NAILS ANYWAY. AND MY ARGUS MONITOR HAS YET TO DAMAGE THE SET UP X 1 YEAR.
