Johelian/Drfish/others

Out of interest, where do you buy your rodents, or do you breed your own? I'm trying to give my guys a mixed diet, and keep the mice to twice a week, but even so, it ain't cheap. They are already munching three large adult mice each....

Mark.

I get mine from Wharf in pinxton.

Used to buy mice, but then eventually figured your better off buying fat rats, and chopping them into two or three peices.

Rats are 50p a go, so i'm happy with that. Get through about 10 a month, along with other treats he gets.

I get mine in packs of 25 from an independent herp store in Surrey. They cost I think around £22 for the pack. These are for huge "monster" mice.

Thanks guys.

Drfish; I'm not squeamish, but I don't fancy chopping up big rats!!!

I have an internet seller where I can get packs of 50 adult mice. I think that delivered (in a polybox with ice packs), they work out at around £32. But thats only a months worth, based on feeding mice twice a week!!!

Chopping up rats is looking a lot cheaper...

Drfish I go to Wharf from time to time - I like fish as well so I'm a bit like a kid in a candy store in there!

I think at some point or another, I have bought something from every shelf of that shop, and a fish from every tank.

It's horrible on my wallet everytimne I go in.
