I have a question about cage size to the size of my Tegu. The cage is almost done and I remembered something I read a while back about Tegus. It stated that if the cage is to large the Tegus may get stressed. The cage is 5.5'x2.5'x3' and the Tegu is 14" (although it looks like he magically grew another inch the other day). The cage will have a nice spot for a hide and a good basking spot, the question is do i introduce him to it slowly over a few days or just let him adapt to his new home?

You can partition off some of the new enclosure and introduce more space in steps, rather than all at once... _________________ 1.0.0 Ball Python "Albino"
