Hello i was just wondering if my 2 year old columbian can regenerate her tail? I came bach tody to find the last 3 inches had come off no idea how but will be changing the set up as soon as possible. thank you for any help.

The tail will regenerate, however may not look as it once did - keep it clean with some betadine till the wound does not appear "open"...

So her tail will grow all the way back then? just look different? i hope so because she was so pretty!

The tail will likely regrow, maybe not out to its complete full length. Usually the colour will be off a little, the scales will be different, and the tail vertebrae will not grow back in as bone, but as cartilage instead.

mine lost her's about 3 months ago, i kept it clean and dressed it until the wound was no longer open. she has now grown a good 5 inches back. i was absolutly gutted when she did it. felt so fricking guilty.

just wondering how did you dress it? ive been thinking about doing that but i had no idea how, ive just been keeping it clean.

Put some triple antibiotic on it. Use some sterile gauze and some medical tape. Do not get the tape on the scales.
