Hi everyone im just wondering if anyone knows about peron's tree frogs do they let out some sort of toxin?
i cleaned out his or hers tank today and when i picked the frog up it croaked at me i put the frog in the water when i put him/her back in the tank and some white stuff come off her/him what could it be some sort of toxin or is the frog sheding its skin
All amphibians secrete toxins, it's just a matter of whether it's toxic to us. Litoria don't secrete anything we need to worry about, but I still wouldn't go near any mucous membranes with that stuff. Toxins will be in a liquid state, shed skin will be membranous.
