my tegu will be here soon and i'm plannig on a new viv
i got one for the moment but i want to plan ahead
this is a 1400mm x 900mm x 635mm viv.
thats 55 x 36 x 25 inch L x D x H wich i will build in a matter of weeks
this will eventually be the bottom section like a burrow or cooler place and it will have a side door for exit into the fish house.

on top of that i will eventually build this
2000mm x 900mm x 1100mm viv
thats 79 x 36 x 44 inch L x D x H
on the right there is a hole for access into the lower viv. bit like ricks cage
don't pay to much attention to the details. i like to mess about with paint. it will defenetly have a smaller higher level for basking

and this is what it should look like in the end
it will be build like this once the tegu reaches 30 inch

the reason for the smaller lower viv is that it will be the first (well 2nd really) viv for the tegu plus i need to fit a very large filter next to it for my big stingray tank

In my view, this looks really good, but will need to be bigger when your tegu gets to about a metre. that is unless it is going to free roam for a couple of hours a day.

Best wishes

he will have the fish house to roam before he gets to that size
thats 6.5x7.0 foot
if he wants it warmer he has to go back in the vv to heat up
after everything i read about how intelligent they are it shouldn't take him long to figure out how to use the ramps and dogflap
