Heya,
I finally got around to putting some new fake plants into my tegu enclosure (actually, it was my boyfriend that did it in the end)! The old ones were looking a bit worse for wear, so now the teg has something new to destroy. The best part about these plants was that they were free; a local game store had a King Kong display in the window, and were given a ton of reptile plants and vines to use for it - when they were done, they gave them all to me. They are exactly the same as those sold for outrageous prices in reptile stores (I think the vines are by Exoterra..? I cant quite remember). Anyway, once the tegu has woken up properly Im sure he will have a great time wrecking it all.

I must admit, its (usually) costly, but I love the obvious enjoyment that the tegu gets out of wrecking everything that goes into his cage icon_smile.gif When he plugs up his sleeping burrow with bits of fake plant, its particularly gratifying.
