The odds of them working the way they claim is zilch. They work principly by placebo effect -ie they work because you think they work. Their claim that insects communicate via vibrations is both true and false. Some insects communicate that way, some do not. Many, if not most, communicate via chemical cues.
Years ago, people were selling similar things for driving away mosquitos. They claimed their devices made a sound similar to a call males make that drives females away. Funny thing is that male mosquitos don't specifically make a sound to drive away female mosquitos because female mosquitos are basically deaf. Secondly, why would they wish to drive away a mate?
How something can make a noise that affects rodents and not some other mammal that is equally sound sensitive (ie. your dog) is also bogus. Sounds like the "brown noise" episode of South Park (wherein a particular note when heard makes people crap their pants). It's fantasy, not reality. A device like that could likely only handle putting out a few harmonics. What do YOU think the chances are that there's a magical frequency out there that interestingly enough ONLY deters those organisms we consider pests? And if it's variable as the ad claims, why would it necessarilly drive away these pests if the offending frequency was expressed only "some of the time"?
These devices may work on some pests, there's no way they work on all. I've worked with a number of biological museums (eg. where they store bones, furs, stuffed skins, etc.) where they are extremely paranoid about insect pests destroying their specimens. You know what? If these devices worked the way they say they do, these museums would certainly employ them. They don't in any I've been to.
A technology THIS revolutionary that actually worked would be in widespread use around the world to protect people from much worse things than cockroaches and silverfish.
On the other hand, though, if you really don't believe the logic in my argument and still wish to get these things, the chances of it bothering your lizards is probably pretty low. Most reptiles are not well known for either hearing or communicating via auditory stimulus.

here's an idea. buy the sound emitter, put it on one end of a large sweater bin and turn it on and off and see reactions of roaches, ants, silverfish, spiders or whatever you can fill the tank with. if they haul from it, maybe it may have some limited ability. doubt it works much or at all personally, but since it's your money....go for it. icon_smile.gif
