I spent the day in Manchester, New Hampshire today at reptile expo I frequent twice a year.
I found a female Argentine Black & White Tegu, one with the dark nose that some feel is how you tell a blue tegu from an Argentine Black & White Tegu. This shows you that although not as common in the pet trade, Argentine Black & Whites Tegus can and do also have the dark nose.
I was pleased to meet you at the show, and im very jealous of you. I have had my eye on that white tegu for quite some time now. I almost bought her in January, but the money went to a bunch of new cages instead. She is a sweet heart, both of them are. I can only hope my tegus get as tame as those two. I think the white one stayed on your shoulder during half the show. Congratulations.
Excellent pickups, I'm incredibly envious? Are you going to breed the albino? I would be def willing to get one if find that one of your other ones is homozygous recessive. I just think the albinos are awesome, just a lot of money for the adults and I can never find juveniles...

Indeed, they are both great! Someone from the Manchester Gazette (I think that was the paper) asked to take a few pictures of the Albino Blue I bought to put in the paper. *Note* If anyone in NH gets that paper and sees that article, pick up an extra paper and mail it to me. I'll make it worth your while when I have some hatchlings!
It was great to meet you as well. I think I recall meeting 7 or 8 members of the website as well as several dozens of people who frequent the site, read our posts and 'helpful info' but just haven't registered yet. I always enjoy putting a face to the names I know here.

I am definately going to breed the female albino. I am unsure if I am going to buy or get a male albino on loan, if I am going to use a blue male, etc.. but I will be breeding her. If I breed her to an albino I will have albinos. If I breed her to a pure blue I will get 100% albino blues the first season.

Wow, she's beautiful! I was interested in a blue albino until I saw the prices, OMG! Definitely an investment, but from seeing the pics, she was worth it I'm sure.
