I' m worried because my ball spends a lot of time struggling to get out.
she got hurt a couple of times.

this happens with my tegu too, but it doesn' t have the same reach as a snake.

no matter what I do with the enclosure she always finds a way to get hurt.

If your enclosure is too small, the animal will spend an immense amount of energy and effort (and hence injuring itself) trying to get out. You also need to take into account that most animals are not like small children - they won't stop what they're doing because they're hurt. So if there is any means by which they could get hurt, they usually will. You need to change your housing in order to accomodate the animal.
