My largest tegu is probably only 7 or 8 pounds. I am not saying they don't get larger than mine, but holy hell.. 30lbs would be a beast!! A 30lb tegu would be awesome if it was proportional. The reptile rescue that me and some friends started got a sulcata tortoise surrendered. I was told it was 50lb and it did seem to be close. When it was weighed by the vet it was 35lb. A 10lb tegu would still be impressive. I need weigh mine, but I will guess (and as I told you, I am bad at that) my largest male is over 4 feet and weights 7 to 8 pounds.
