I just picked up this Scorpion tonight, and so far I am loving him/her!
After I put him/her in, I threw in a superworm to see if it would take it. After about a half hour I decided I would go sex it, and when I opened the lid the superworm was sitting in its claws =) I am very happy with this addition. It is very healthy, and already eating for me! =)
Here are some pictures...I requested a photo album but nothing yet, I hope posting these pictures are okay and don't get me into trouble...

I have it in a rubbermaid container with an UTH (evenly spaced holes in the top for ventilation.) At the moment I am using dirt as a substrate until I can get ahold of a LOT of cypress mulch, as I need it for my Tegu's 100 gallon as well =P _________________ Meyer Exotics

Yes I believe so, although I am not exactly positive on the molting process and how it takes place. I have only kept one other arachnid so I am fairly new to this as well.
The venom of an emperor is about the equivalent to a bee sting. If you are allergic to bees, then I would be very careful around these guys. Luckily I am not allergic to bees, as last night he managed to sting me =P
PS It is a confirmed male also...thank you for informing me on how to sex it lscariah! _________________ Meyer Exotics

Looks good.i think mabe your Scorpion is about 3 years old.Keep the bedding moist, not totally drenched, because if the Scorpion is ready to molt and it is to dry,you could kill the poor little tyke shell cracks ect...Just a sugestion. But all in all,if it is eating for you allready then you got a good one there. Here are pics of ours, not to boast but to show you what a young female Emperor looks like, our girl is onley about 1 1/2 old.Good luck!I beleive you will do just fine.

There should really not be an oppurtunity to get stung, they aren not meant to be handled.
Good looking scorp though, I might be looking for a group of 1.2 of these on saturday at the expo here in sweden. My parents seem to have troubles with scorpions but as long as they're not deadly I suppose it'll be okay.
Arachnids are wondeful animals, gotten a lot of arboreal tarantulas lately, love 'em.
