When it comes to drawing up your cages... has anyone used any programs? Freeware drawing/drafting/CAD type?? for a Beginner/Novice level. I have PhotoShop 7.0 but not a clue as how to use it for what I want or if I can. I know pretty much in my mind what I think I want it to look like, but I am absolutley terrible at the drawing part. I don't mind paying a relitavely small fee (hubby will probably use it to design his knives too) but am not willing to fork out a fortune. Any ideas/hints/links would be awesome. i actually have a drawing posted here. its just the side view though since none of the image hosting sites would host the front view. if you are interested let me know and i can email it to you.

Thanks... I saw that, but what I'm interested in finding out is any programs that others have sucessfully used to create their cage "blueprints", or does everyone who builds their own cages actually draw it all out by hand??
I just have to be very specific with my plans. The only area I have to place a larger cage is not forgiving in the amount of space. If I screw up lengthwise by just a couple inches.... it will not fit at all.
What I am looking at building is a two story type home (I know, they are not climbers as adults) While they are younger, I will only utilize the bottom half but when needed, I will be able to open the top half. I plan to make the second floor solid, from front to back, with a ramp so there is no chance of their fat little bodies falling to the first floor. I have more height to work with but only about 6ft length to work with.
Does this sound feasible to anyone?? What pros/cons can the experienced keepers and builders see with this? _________________ ~~ Christina ~~
