what would be a good bedding for my tegu to establish a burrow?

The jungle bedding stuff that looks like peat moss and coconut chips mixed with some regular topsoil seems to work pretty well. Some people worry about the fibers of the coconut husk creating a stricture on the lizards toes. I have not seen this, but i guess it is a theoretical risk. My columbian prefers a foot of cypress mulch.
