I have been surfing thru the housing area, looking for pics and ideas (really like the old truck window one) when I ran across a post you made quite a while back (Posted: Sun Jan 23, 2005 3:34 pm Post subject: My New Enclosure - Still Under Construction)

Do you still have pics of this? Would you be willing to re-post them or even send them to me? This sounds alot like what I'm looking at doing, just two levels altho I could fit in three but had not thought of it. How did this setup work for you ? were the tegu's comfy? any heat & humidity trouble? I don't have them yet, but we are planning on two, I think a red and blue.

Thanks ahead for the info and time

Notice on the bottom right. There is a hole. This was to be a doggy door, but I procrastinated and to this day, its just a 'doggy hole'. So the tegus can come and go from that enclosure as they feel fit.

i have a cage that has two levels. And i am only making the top acessable(sp) right now. I have a columbian and the cage is 2x5' ... i am going to get him a girlfriend in the spring and put her underneath in the bottom cage. then, when she is old enough to live with him, i am going to drill a hole in the top level so they can get from the top to the bottom when ever they want. i made a hide box that is 2x2x 6" it is adhered to the top of the top level. I can't wait to get him a girl! Go Daggit Go Daggit. similar idea, just not as many levels.

My guess, though i may be wrong, but the closed area, or 3rd level is a light housing for the area below, and that the top is completely separate.. Just a guess though...
