What do you guys think about housing more than one tegu in the same cage? What I've been told by people in pet stores is that it isn't a good idea because they're territorial, but I've seen several pictures in the photo albums of tegus being housed together and we all know how knowledgable most of those pet store guys are.

i have 4 hatchlings from rick housed together... 1.1 from one clutch and 1.1 from a second clutch... and they seem to enjoy being together.. by this i mean they all huddle up together and alot of the time they lay on each other..... but again these are hatchlings...... now i know rick keeps a few (8+ together around feeding time) as seen in his video's and they dont seem to mind it.....

All of my tegus are housed with other tegus except during and after breeding. Then I house the females in separate enclosers. They get very aggressive after breeding and laying eggs. But all of the unbred females and males are fine housed together, except when feeding. They will squabble over food.
