Stumbling Red

My Red baby Tegu has been stumbling around almost like if he/she was drunk does any one know why its eating great i have all the right lights and it temp. is around 110'F (basking area) and its hide is nice and humid.
any ideas.

Stumbling could be signs of muscular control issues or bone density problems. Stumbling could be a sign of MDB. The muscles and joints have issues functioning with lack of Vit D3 and/or calcium. Please answer these questions as correctly as possible. It will help to figure out what is happening so we can attempt to resolve it.

Do you use calcium supplements daily?
Do you use vit D3 supplements every few days?
Do you have a UVB bulb? (on that specifically says "UVB 10.0" or such)
Is the UVB bulb within 12 inches of the basking spot?
Does the UVB need to pass through screening, glass or acrylic (plexiglas)?
Along with the stumbling, when the tegu relaxes or basks, do the fingers or the muscles in the arms or legs twitch a bit?

There can be a whole host of issues related to what you are seeing. It could be nutritional, neurological, toxicologic in origin, degenerative disease, etc. Do your tegu right and get it to a properly knowledgeable vet.

I use a calcium powder every 3 days or so and I have a UVB bulb 8.0
my light's sits on a screen top and theres no twhiching at all. But he runs away from me fine, He/She only does it when it walks slow.
