My tegu used to be extremely mean, and when she'd try to whip me she'd hit the side of the tank, after many times of doing this she lost about two inches, now, some of it DID grow back, but not fully, and to this day, she has a round stubby end, where as my other tegu (which has a full tail) doesn't have that round stubb. So, it should to a degree, but never like it was before. If any at all grows.
