Variable Sandsnake

Western Hognose

Desert King

Wandering Garter

Taiwan Beauty

Jungle Carpet

Hope you enjoyed.

Definitely think some more about it. My Jungle is one of the nicest snakes I have. Tame most of the time (some stuck shed is aggravating him lately, but that's a given with most snakes) and very easy to care for. I'd actually say that if you can get past the fact that they get 6-8 feet on average, they're one of the better beginner snakes. Usually no problem feeding, taming down, and a lot less shed problems than most beginner pythons and boas.

Personally, he was a far better choice for me than a Ball, since Arizona has very low humidity, and Carpets deal with that fine most of the time (except during sheds).

Funny thing, that Beauty snake is actually supposed to get quite a bit larger than the Carpet. She's already getting close to surpassing his length, even though I've had her for a year less.

My 1year old BP is about 40" so far, he'll probably reach 5 feet (he's a great eater!). We have a Trinket snake which (I think) is a Taiwan Rat snake, very similar to the Beauty snake. He's about 8 months old, still small, a problem eater and very flighty.

I've seen some Jungle Carpets that were stunning!! 6-8 feet is OK with me, they stay thin. We've spent $450 on 2 Tegu's recently (both unplanned!) so if I got one it would probably be in the fall. Bloods are very interesting, don't get too long, but they get THICK!! We saw a guy walking around the Hamburg PA show with an adult Blood, it was almost as thick as his leg!! I've thought about getting a Redtail but they can get big and are a handful.

Beautiful Snakes Anubis icon_wink.gif

I am not really a snake lover but I do enjoy looking at the pics of them.

There are definitely a lot of upcoming morphs and crosses with carpets and Morelia in general. Mine is just a normal JCP, with slightly higher yellow. I kind of wanted to get a Diamond x JCP once, but for now, I'll pass on that. I'll be taking in a Reticulated Python soon enough, so space might become limited.

I really like the high yellow! I think I saw a green one once.

Here's a pic of a Jungle/Diamond cross I took at the Hamburg PA show last Saturday.

This a nice Jungle carpet, but not as good as yours.
