Hello everyone i'm new to the forum. i was walking out side the other day at the park with my dog , and saw something wierd . i saw black baby lizard hang out on a branch. it was just basking in the sun i guess . he was really calm and let me pick him up . I was like wow, this is not a normal lizard. I was trying to think what it could be . At 1st i thought water monitor. So i took it home with me . So i was thinking really hard for a while and said i'll look online . Come to find out it a baby tegu.
I guess he must have escaped from someone . Or some let him go at the park . (I'm hoping it escaped! From near by house ) i'm going to keep him or her. seem healty no mite or bugs it ate some crickets for me about 12 of them.and i'm keeping him in 10gal tank for now.( i know its small .) so i have small basking light on it now and half log thing . and water bowl . hopfully it ok . for now
