OK so I will start off with the question end with the problem because people always go for the last thing mentioned.
OK so i just notices this on Barbossas back it looks like a scar but he has grown so fast, do they get streatch marks? LOL I know that sounds dumb but I am wondering what kind of life did he have before I got him.
Now the problem.... Ever since I made Barbossa a cliff and a pool he has been repeatedly climbing the cliff and jumping off into the pool! At first I thought it was hilarious. But today wile I was giving him his daily bath I noticed sores on his foot and they look raw. So I finished his bath snapped some pics and put neosporin non pain relieving stuff on the sores. Heres the deal, is it bad enough to see a vet or is this a thing that just happens sometimes and y'all have remedies for me? I have wednesday off of work so I can bring him then if need be.

WOW!! It looks like it wore his nails down to a nub too! It sounds like the surface is way too ruff (like you don't already know that).
What are you going to do to prevent this from getting worse and how can you smooth the surface some so it won't happen again??
DAMN!! I didn't answer anything, I just asked more questions!
It looks like you need to get him out of there ASAP before it gets any worse.
I wish you had made a video, that would have been great! _________________ 1.1 Blue Tegu +23 EGGS, 1.0 Red Tegu, 0.1 B&W Arg. Tegu

I should have mentioned that his nails were already gone and like that when i got him. his toes were almost going to fall off but i saved them and it looks as if his new nails are poking through but yeah the sores don't look good and they kind of got me nervous. I'm going to go get some more eppoxy and try to do a thick THICK coat on the cliff and other trouble spots maybe that will stop it from happening again _________________ Arg. B+W Tegu 1.0.0

It looks like he might have what is seen in snakes a belly rot. I don't think he done this by jumping into the tub. I would not worry about the vet just yet, see if it starts clearing up with the neosporin, and make his cage a little dryer. As for the stretch marks, you got me on that one.

The damage to the toes is from rough edges or climbing up wire walls. I have seen it before from tegus that are in wire enclosures and from tegus who were climbing on ledge with rough edges. Keep up the neosporin and keep it clean and it will heal. It may have a little bump of scar tissue at that location, but nothing that will impede locomotion or cause discomfort. As far as the "stretch marks", I would need a close up picture to see what is going on there.
