I do have light, vitimins, ect.I have been treating him like an iguana.I resent the fact that he is abused. In fact he's tame and fat!He has been to a vet. That is how I got my info about hamburger.{I thought it was bab right off}The people who gave him to me were going to kill it.He has a slight deform in his tail and was small at birth.I felt sorry for him and took him.He is a family mmber.I read some online tips from DOVE,they didn't say anything like what this website does.I have been searching for a site like this.I have had him at reptial stores around town and have found tegu food in a can.He won't eat it.I want to get him on the right diet and enviroment. Is there anyway to post a pic. of blackbeard? If I can let me know and maybe someone can help me get him back to normal. As far as him being m/f.The reptial shop said he was a male. They also told me wrong foods and care tips.Thank-you for all the info and always wanting more,Squirrel

I'm sorry but iguana's also need more then scrambled eggs cooked petatoes and baby food..
What vet did you take him to. Most normal vets dont know enough about reptiles and try treathment and medications they normally use for mamals...

My red wont eat the tegu food either. But our B&W seems to like it. I think its just the same as with humans; Some like the big mac others like the big tasty icon_wink.gif

I'm glad it's not as bad as it first sounded, but please, please take the advice.

There's a lot of knowledge and experience on these boards from what i've seen so far, and everyones happy to help. At the end of the day, we all learn from mistakes. I'm glad you came forward before things got any worse. Well done, and good luck with him.
